ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Mrs. Cross, and I am so excited to dive into the wonderful world of science this year! Originally from Iowa, this will be my second year teaching science at Perkins County High School. I have a wonderfully supportive family including my husband Colton and my beautiful stepdaughter Jayla.

I completed a Bachelors of Science degree, majoring in Biology at Central College in Pella, IA in December of 2015. I spent the rest of that school year substitute teaching in Des Moines and working for an interactive science museum. I then moved to Scottsbluff, NE to complete my first year of teaching in the 2016-2017 school year before moving to Ogallala. Other than teaching science, I will also be head coaching girls basketball and leading science club. Along with science and basketball, I spend much of my time exploring the area and being outside, completing some sort of art/furniture project, and writing. I can't wait to get started and look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
